It's time for another contest! Halloween style!

Okay, I know that it's not quite Halloween yet, but I wanted to give you the head's up chance to start planning and preparing for our next contest: Create Your Own Dragon.

Yes, we've tried this before. But, hopefully, with a bit more notice, and some cool prizes, things will go a bit better this go around.

This contest is based off of my newest book, Tarragon: Key Keeper, the first in the Tarragon Trilogy. As a reminder of what the book's about, here's the blurb:

For hundreds of years, the gates of Tarragon have been sealed from the outside. Prophecy speaks of the day the last Key Keeper will return and wake the dragons from their spell-cast slumber, returning them to their rightful home.
Seeking to fulfill her father's dying wish, Anwen Porter travels to the Drakonii Mountains where she meets Tyler, a mysterious local with a secret. With his help, she learns more about her clouded past and her own abilities. But when Courtney, a lovesick mage, tries to insert herself into their plans, things begin to go horribly wrong.

With death threatening at every turn, Anwen must learn to rely on her newfound friends to survive. But how can she unravel the mystery of her heritage when everything is trying to kill her?

 Now for the details.

This contest is designed to allow you the maximum use of your creativity. You are free to use any medium to create your dragon, virtual, 3-D, traditional, crafts (sewn, knitted, costumes, dolls, etc.), sculptures, etc. And yes, that includes making more than just a dragon. Creativity is encouraged. Skill is helpful, but creativity is key, so don't worry if all you can do is draw a stick figure or make a lump out of clay. If it's a dragon, it's a dragon. Just remember, there are thousands of types of dragons out there. Little extras, while not necessary, do make things more fun, such as creating backgrounds, maps, etc.

Here are the rules:
1. Keep it clean. Nothing over PG is allowed.
2. One entry per person/group is appreciated.
3. Group efforts are allowed and must have all group members must be credited.
4. Anyone under the age of 18 needs a parent's permission to enter. (Should you win, some information will be collected to ensure delivery of your prize.)
5. All entries must be turned in no later than October 17, 2016 by Midnight Pacific Standard Time.
6. All entries will be voted on by your peers. (Entries will be posted for voting during the week of October 23-29th.)
7. Winners will be announced on Halloween.

Now, for a list of the prizes.

What your favorite mythical creature(s) is/are and why?
What fantasy world would you rather be stuck in for a few days?

Caryl Kane said:
I love the dragons and the mythical worlds of the fantasy genre.  I am amazed at the creativity in this genre.

Mary Preston shared the following:
I love the excitement & the unexpected in a fantasy read. Worlds are created & the most amazing creatures roam free. I do love dragons. I think it's the magic & power. I'd love to lose myself in the world of Harry Potter. I just need a wand.

Ashley Martinez's enthusiasm showed through with this:
I love fantasy books because I love how anything is possible. Your imagination is the limit.
My favorite fantasy creature is dragon because they're awesome lol they are fierce, protective and can fly!
And I'd love to be stuck in the Dark Hunter World! So many different creatures and sexy men!
