Happy Halloween and a bit o' housekeeping

Greetings all!

First off, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Halloween! Especially since it's happening this coming Saturday.

I've always loved Halloween. Admittedly, growing up, I haven't celebrated it quite like I used to. I exchanged costumes and trick-o-treating for staying at home and watching such movies as Harry Potter and The Good Witch, among others. (Not really a horror person) But it's all in good fun.

I do remember, growing up, mom made most of our costumes. One year, she made me a Belle ballgown (from Beauty and the Beast), completely from scratch, with no actual pattern. That impressed me a lot. In fact, I don't think any of use really had any store-bought costumes, which some might consider boring, but I always thought it was fun. We were limited only by our imagination. And, honestly, I think the homemade costumes looked better than the store bought ones.

As a special bonus, here's a pic of me going as Strawberry Shortcake. I think I might have been five?

On to some housekeeping.

As some of you may be aware, I have been waiting, almost on cats claws, for word back from a certain publisher about my book. Well, the word has come. And the word is "not this time". I know, that's technically three, but it's the gist.

So, I am going to go ahead and do it myself.

This means that the first book in my Tarragon series,
Key Keeper, will be released April 22, 2016!

In preparation for this release, I am going to have a few events.

An official cover reveal is scheduled for February 8, 2016.
There will be an online launch party on April 22, 2016.
There will be a two week blog tour. I'll let you know the dates.
And, there will be fabulous prizes! (And by fabulous, I mean fabulous!)

Other events have yet to be scheduled, and I'll give you an update on the times, as well as sharing the event pages, as they come closer. But, in the meantime, if you are interested in reading an advanced copy of this novel, please let me know by signing up for my newsletter or commenting below.

Please share this information with your friends. I would love to see this explode across the internet!

Also, don't forget, The Unknown Elf (ebook version) goes on sale through December, starting November 1st.
Please check out the Book Blitz for this book as well.

And don't forget to enter to win a signed copy of this book!

Tarragon: The Map

Hey all.

Since I'm kind of stuck waiting for word from a potential publisher, I've decided to try and create a map of my world, more or less. It's more like one continent on the planet where Tarragon is, but hey, it's something.  So, I wanted to share it with you, to see what you think.

The design has definitely grown on me.

The Unknown Elf

For those who know, The Unknown Elf was my first published work. I am now doing a giveaway on Goodreads for three signed copies of this book. In case you don't remember what it's about, here's the blurb.

Marie never expected to wake up in North Pole City, let alone become Santa’s Emergency Replacement. It was a job she never wanted but couldn’t turn down, thanks to Clarence, Santa’s right hand man.

Now, Marie has to work with Clarence, who believes she is some kind of criminal who will cause the destruction of everything he holds dear. Trying to prove that he’s wrong, Marie keeps making mistakes that push them even further apart. It doesn’t help that she has a past she’d rather keep hidden. However, trying to keep her past where it should belong isn’t easy.

Just when Marie starts to feel like things are coming together, a madman with a bone to pick, and Christmas to ruin, threatens the whole of the North Pole Organization. Marie must rely on Clarence and her new friends to help her face her past before Christmas is gone forever. But does she have the courage to truly be herself when it could mean losing everything?

So far, this book has gotten some really good reviews. Personally, I think it's a great story, more on the Christmas side, but good for any time of the year.
